If you use an online service or Internet service provider (ISP) they usually supply email right along with your Internet connection. They provide you with an email address. Email is routed through their computers to the final destination of your PC.

To use this email service, you must obtain an email address and install the appropriate email software on your PC. Your online service, or Internet Service Provider can help you with both. Then you're ready to go.
